Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day!

I haven't posted in quite a while, and what better way to try to get back into the groove than a giveaway.

Sew Mama Sew  is hosting their annual Giveaway Day, which actually runs from the 12th through the 16th, at 5pm PST. Since there are so many blogs participating, it gives you time to check out as many as possible and sign up to (hopefully) win great stuff. Winners will be chosen by random number generator, and  notified by email (please make sure yours is available) by 12/18, and this post will be updated with the winners name. We will ship anywhere in the world.

Up for grabs here are ten (10) fat quarters from "The Woodlands" collection from Khristian A. Howell for Anthology fabrics. Khristian is a great designer and has designed other collections for Anthology as well.  We carry some of her lines, including The Woodlands in our shop. Just leave one (1) comment telling me your favorite family tradition for the holidays. We're looking to find ways to create memories with the boy.

And just in case you just have to have these fabrics, or anything else we carry, we are offering 20% off your fabric purchase in our shop through Saturday, 12/17/2011. Just use coupon code SMS20 at checkout.

I'm going to go check out some of the other posts!  Thanks for stopping by! Happy Holidays!

Thanks for the wonderful giveaway!

We love making dozens of gingerbread cookies and then sitting and decorating them for hours, just chatting and enjoying life and eating sprinkles!

Great giveaway, that fabric is so cute!

We don't do much in the way of traditions, except for a handmade advent calendar that I ade for the kids. Each pocket is filled with a little treat (not always food). So much fun!!!

My most treasured family holiday tradition is having Christmas dinner with the whole family on Christmas Eve. We gather at my parents house in the morning, loll about all day just enjoying our time together and then have a big dinner in the evening. After we've all had our fill, we open our presents and head back home with a happy glow and our tummies full of yummy food. :)

Adding a new decoration to each child's ornament collection - it's always a thrill for them to open their special boxes and see what they got at each age.

Those look lovely!! We love reading Christmas stories in the lead up to Christmas - I have a little collection of books saved for the season... I also give my little one a new pair of PJs on Christmas night - which is a good way to stop those feelings of anti-climax at the end of the day (though she is still too little to really notice anyway!)

Kim said...

From my childhood the best part was decorating the *real* Christmas tree. The smell still carries a lot of nostalgia for me.

Wendy said...

We have bacon sandwiches and bucks fizz on christmas morning (orange juice as kids!). When we were little we'd always get a stocking in our room and a book - usually a christmas Annual - we weren't allowed to wake my parents before 6 so we'd open our stockings together (me and my brother) and read our annuals until 6 when we could get our other presents and our bacon sarnies!

Thanks for the lovely giveaway. My favorite Christmas tradition is breakfast in bed, although I do not think your son would appreciate you passing that tradition on to him. ;0) Our oldest daughter decided on here 6th Christmas to bring us breakfast in bed and she has talked the younger kids into it every year since then. It is a sweet time together. I love my kiddos!

I'm looking for traditions, too. I started small - this year we are using an advent calendar. And going to church for Christmas Eve service. And I may try to make a Fruit Loop garland, that sounds like fun with my bunch of kiddos. There are a lot of ideas out there, but its best to start small if you plan on continuing - you won't set yourself up for failure, and the kids will still have fun. Good luck!

Oh wow - what a great slection of fabrics. Thank you for the chance to win it :)

My favourite festive family tradition (phew - that's a lot of f's) growing up was singing carols so that Santa knew which house was ours. So 2-3 carols later he would rock up with a ho-ho-ho and that magic bag :) My mom would also take us outside later when it is dark (we celebrate on the eve of the 24th) and then she would show us "rudolf's red nose" - which was actually just satellites in the sky. Keep the magic alive and "realisitc" and your boy will have great memories to look back onto. Good luck :)

What a great giveaway. Thanks for participating. My favorite tradition is church on Christmas Eve (as well as the rest of the year). Baking together is fun too.
