Blogger's Quilt Festival

Today marks the beginning of the Blogger's Quilt festival

organized by Amy of Park City Girl. It's a great opportunity to meet some new people, and get a whole lot of quilt inspiration. Click on the button at the right and check it out for yourself. You might even want to join in and show off a quilt yourself. Oh, and did I mention prizes? Click! All the info is there.

Here is my entry.

It is not a newly finished quilt, but it is one of my favorites. I made it about 8 years ago, and after my daughter hung it in her house for a while, I reclaimed it. It now hangs in a bedroom in my house, and it never fails to make me smile. It was the beginning of making bright and modern quilts for me. Right now I have 8 or 9 quilt tops that are awaiting quilting, or almost finished. Hopefully next time around I'll have some finished.

Oh, and if you leave a comment on this blog, you will be entered to win the cute little tote bag shown below. It's made from linen and vintage sheet fabrics. Just little extra giveaway. Good Luck!

Oh, I love your quilt !
Funny what different stages we go through in our quilts.
I remember my husband making a comment a few years ago that all of my recent quilts were so BRIGHT !
I said, "well, they're HAPPY QUILTS!"
Since then, we have been through some trying times together and those happy quilts still brighten our days !

P.S. I have to reclaim a quilt every now and then from my daughter, too. Funny how differently they can strike you when you see them hanging somewhere besides "home" !

The quilt looks like a lot of fun. It reminds me of my aunt who loves nautical things. I especially like how the black and white checks seem to fit in perfectly with the different blues and greens. (:

That's a great quilt, Pam! I really like that mosiac blue fish fabric.

Darn, I wish we still lived in FL so we could visit- we moved to AR from Melbourne/Palm Bay about 20 years ago.

Good luck with your business! I never told you this but I totally appreciated the nice hand written card you included in my recent-ish order, what a treat! And such lovely handwriting you have. Puts me to shame, I tell ya!

I like the quilt a lot. I love the black and white stripes you added. It makes it stand out more than as just a sea themed quilt. Nice job!

Oh, and I love the tote too. I am huge fan of vintage sheets.
