Special Mug Rug
I have a young friend, (chosen daughter) who is celebrating receiving her MBA this weekend. She is also planning for her wedding for May of next year. As she is a lover of all things holiday, and of my mug rugs for each event, I have made her bridal mug rug.
I'm dying to show off my Mini QT quilt, but it has to be a secret until it's arrival to it's new owner. I'd better get it in the mail asap. :)

Birthday Giveaway!
( I sorta copied this cute little birthday cake design from this block by Lynne @ Lily's Quilts )
To celebrate the third birthday of our blog today, we are having a giveaway. To three lucky people, we are giving away a bundle of 10 inch squares, (1 each) of all 22 fabrics in the Sweet Nothings line by Zoe Pearn for Riley Blake Designs.
There's a free project sheet on the website for this quilt using these fabrics, but I'm sure you all have your own ideas, seeing what a creative bunch you all are.
Just leave a comment to be entered. Following is appreciated but not required. (although it will keep you informed of sales in the shop.)
Entries will be accepted until midnight Tuesday, 4/26/2011 and winners will be drawn by random generator and posted sometime Wednesday, 4/27/2011. Please make sure I can reach you.

New Fabric!!!
Some new fabric in the shop. We have decided to dip our toes in the "organic" pool. And this fabric, Cut Out and Keep, by Heather Moore for Cloud9 Fabrics is just adorable. More info here.
I'm such a lucky girl!
Now that the Doll Quilt Swap on Flickr is winding down, I can show off the quilt I sent, and the awesome quilt I received.
Here's my absolutely perfect quilt I received from Frieda. (Friedazzzzz) It's got houses and crosses and circles, "oh my"! And my fave greens and blues. I love it so much, I just want to hug it, and I do. (daily)
Not only that, but she sent some wonderful goodies too!
An adorable pin cushion, and a reusable bottle with a zip, (a message in a bottle, hand fashioned from a used bottle), and an antique spool that doubles as a stand to hold the stork scissors she sent. And look how cute the label is. She incorporated the swap button. I love it all.
Thank you again Frieda!
Here's a photo of the little quilt I sent to Beth, (weepereas).
I struggled to come up with the right combo of colors. When I added the linen, it spoke out for the softer shades of teal and orange, and after a quick poll on the DQS10 Flicker Group, my decision was validated. I always forget to take pictures of the goodies, but it was well received. Especially the curved corners. I'm just so happy she liked it.
Saturday is the 3 year anniversary of this blog, so stay tuned for a giveaway post!
